Nov/10/2012 - Nov/11/2012
Location: Historic Jefferson College

On Saturday & Sunday, November 10 -11, Historic Jefferson College presents its annual Wirt Adams Raid into Natchez Civil War Reenactment, which include cavalry, artillery, and infantry battles. These reenactments are based on Confederate General Wirt Adams and his men’s battle with Federal forces south of Natchez on December 7, 1863.

Reenactment battles will begin at 2:00 p.m. each day.

The Civil War camps open for the public at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Reenactors will be on hand to answer any questions visitors might have about the life of a soldier during the Civil War. A group of lady reenactors who participate each year will also provide information about the important role women played during the war.

Admission is free to all events but visitors are advised to bring their own chairs and blankets for sitting.

Historic Jefferson College is located four miles northeast of Natchez, off Highway 61 North.
